We’re a small batch pasticceria. We specialise in croissant based products, yeasted doughs and the occasional cake along with preserves, granola and delicious filter coffee.
Everything is made & baked in our little space on Canning St, and we work to source the most local, sustainable and organic ingredients available.

With limited space up our sleeves we offer hot batch-brew (filter) coffee and delicious single-origin canned chilled filter, but nothing espresso-based.
For our hot filter coffee we use beans from Everyday and rotate through their seasonal single-origins, which change every three to four weeks. We also retail bags of both their All Day Espresso beans and the current filter roast on rotation, which we can grind for your preferred brewing method so you can enjoy a cup from the comfort of home.
Our single-origin chilled filter comes from Belafonte, roasted through the week and delivered fresh.
If only an espresso-based coffee will do, we won’t be offended and will happily direct you to a selection of lovely local coffee shops.

There’s no solid answer to this one! It varies day to day — some days we get a lot of larger orders and other days much smaller ones.
Thursdays & Fridays are quieter than weekends, and if you want to guarantee yourself the biggest selection we recommend you visit prior to 10am on any day.
Whilst we can’t provide live updates and replies to social media messages through the morning asking what’s left, we will always post a Story when we are completely sold out and closed for the day.

We operate in an extremely small space — 10m² to be exact; the very same one you buy your croissants from.
All our pastries take three days to produce from mixing the dough to laminating, shaping, proving and baking. In order to provide the freshest bakes possible we don’t freeze or store unbaked products - therefore once they’re gone they’re gone… until tomorrow!

Only two of our items always remain the same; the classic croissant and our signature Leatherwood Honey & Sea Salt croissant which has been around as long as we have.
The other six products on offer change about every four to five weeks and are created around seasonal availability and which produce is abundant.
Menus are posted via Instagram Stories on Wednesday afternoons for the week ahead and saved to highlights so you can check back.

We are not halal certified however we always have one vegetarian savoury option available.
Our meat-based pastry does often contain pork, and we occasionally use alcohol and gelatine in some products. We endeavour to ensure these are labelled when this is the case, however we recommend checking with staff on the day should you have an questions and we will be happy to advise. -
We offer a loyalty card on request, with which you’ll get a stamp for every croissant or leatherwood honey & sea salt croissant you purchase. After twelve stamps, your thirteenth is on us! Monforte’s baker’s dozen.
Our loyalty cards are not valid on any other pastry.

Our minimum order quantity for pastries is 60 pieces with pricing varying depending on the season and menu. We offer a 5% discount for an order of 75 pastries or more, and a 10% discount for orders over 120 pastries. We can also offer our granola for special order at a minimum of 5kg.
We recommend if you want to purchase smaller quantities to come and see us at the shop around opening time to ensure you’re not disappointed.
During seasonal holidays throughout the year, we open up pre-orders for our fruit mince pies, chewy & rich Christmas Panforte and our fluffy Easter buns.

Absolutely! We welcome pictures of our products, however we ask that you respect our staff’s privacy and seek their permission before including them in photographs.
